Didactics prepared by: Dr. Zuki Conrad, MD, CEDS-C – an experienced psychiatrist, certified consultant in eating disorders (IAEDP), Vice President of Psychiatry in the Monte Nido network (USA), leading physician of the educational rotation on RCP for child and adolescent psychiatry at OHSU (Portland, Oregon).

✅ We successfully conducted an ECHO supervision session dedicated to psychological assistance to older adolescents with eating disorders (RCP).

How to work with complex cases of RCP in adolescence? How to combine a psychiatric approach, elements of CBT and family support to achieve a stable therapeutic outcome?

During the session, we focused on a comprehensive clinical approach to treating adolescent ADHD, taking into account high anxiety, body image, self-perception, and interpersonal factors.

✔️ Based on a real clinical case, we analyzed typical difficulties in working with adolescents, discussed strategies for building a therapeutic alliance and the role of an interdisciplinary team
✔️ Dr. Zuki Conrad shared her experience in using evidence-based methods, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and elements of a trauma-focused approach
✔️ We considered the stages of diagnosis, support in difficult situations (outpatient and inpatient), as well as the role of the family in the process of stabilizing eating behavior
✔️ Participants had the opportunity to ask questions to the supervisor and receive professional advice

This supervision became a valuable resource for clinicians working with adolescents and seeking to deepen their knowledge of modern approaches to the treatment of eating disorders.

We thank all participants for their activity and desire to improve the practice of youth mental health!
