We successfully held an ECHO training session, which brought together Ukrainian and American professionals in finding solutions to support children and adolescents. The event was dedicated to strategies for effective partnerships between professionals and families, which is a key factor in ensuring quality care for children.

Tamara Bakewell, Family Engagement Manager, Oregon Center for Children with Special Health Needs, shared proven approaches to building trusting relationships with parents. Participants discussed how to:
🔹 Form common goals for interventions and adapt tasks according to the needs of the child.
🔹 Engage families in active cooperation, even in difficult circumstances.
🔹 Overcoming barriers and resolving conflict situations in working with parents.

Of particular interest was the case of a preschool boy who, due to his parents’ busy schedule, does not receive the necessary interventions. Together with psychologist Alina Binkovska, we considered possible ways to establish communication with the family and involve them in active participation in supporting the child.

The session became a source of practical knowledge and valuable exchange of experience for all participants. Thank you to the speakers and everyone who joined! We invite you to the next events of the ECHO project.
